J’étais dans le jardin, derrière l’usine Boulanger, route de la Ferté-Milon, avec Monsieur Thevenin. Nous avons vu arriver une forteresse volante qui avait des difficultés, elle était à trop basse altitude.
Nous avons vu trois tubes ou bombes ? tomber de l’avion, nous nous sommes mis à l’abri, puis un énorme bruit d’explosion, l’avion avait explosé.
Nous sommes allés voir dans le champ et nous avons vu trois trous, ce sont les trois objets que nous avons vu tomber, sans explosion. A ma connaissance, ces trois objets sont toujours enfouis dans le champ (Entre la maison Santerre, rue du Chemin Noir, et la maison Joyeux, Route de la Ferté Milon). |

I was in the garden, behind the Boulanger factory, on the road leading to La Ferté-Milon, with Mr. Thevenin. We saw a flying fortress which was having a hard time flying coming towards us, it was at a much too low altitude.
We saw three tubes or bombs falling from the airplane, we rushed to shelter ourselves, then there was an enormous sound of explosion; the plane had exploded.
We went to see in the field and we saw three holes; these were the three objects we had seen falling, without explosion. To my knowledge, these three objects are still buried in the field (between the Santerre house, Chemin Noir street (dark path street), and the Joyeux house, on the Road leading to La Ferté-Milon. |
